Restoring Vintage Victorian Era Greeting Cards

I have recently began a small restoration project that involves digitally enhancing vintage greeting cards from the early 1900's. I am choosing my favorites from a huge collection of cards and touching them up a bit. I am trying to keep them as original as possible, usually leaving small blemishes and other signs of age. I think the aging and muted colors adds character to some of these cards. This is a very fun and exciting project for me as I love the style of the artwork from this era.

My First Book

A couple of months ago, after 11 years of seeking, my seeking ended when awareness awakened fully to itself. Since then this life has been undergoing a new perspective and as a result this book was written. There is another on the way. The first is merely a simple guidebook. As no thought is true, it is simply a book of words arranged in such a way as to resonate Truth with awareness within those who read them.

The next book will be a perspective on awakening and enlightenment. Both books are about the liberated joy of simply being in the present moment fully and without resistance to what is true.

This first book is entitled "Just Be Now" and you can pick up a copy here:

T-shirt Design

Black Cat Carrier

This t-shirt design is based on the logo of a transport service that does home deliveries in Japan. It is a very prominent logo in Japan and can also be seen occasionally outside of Japan. Yamato Transport also has international services located throughout the world include the United States and Canada. This logo should be familiar to anyone who has spent any time in Japan or possibly watches far to much anime.

Japanese Scientists Successfully Extract Images From Human Brain

mind reading
Apparently, it is now possible to recreate images from information recorded from the brain. They are using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) technology that is then fed into a computer. The Computer decodes the raw data through comparative analysis into images that are seen by the subject being scanned. It is just at the beginning stages of development but this is a major breakthrough and they seem pretty confident about the potential of this technology.

Here is a link to the original article in the Japanese Newspaper Daily Yomiuri Online.

There are so many potentially wonderful applications for this technology. Just think of what this could mean for coma patients. Not to mention what it could mean for art, entertainment, and the evolution of human culture. The possibilities are staggering. We really are standing at the cusp of a whole new era of marvelous possibilities.

Personally, I can't wait for an Electroplankton -like interface that will allow me to transform my dreams into music videos. I'll be making music in my sleep.

Adjustments

It took me a few days but I finally got my new Art-Craft Clubman frames adjusted to the point that they are comfortable without being so loose that they slide down my nose. Yesterday, someone actually complimented me on my new frames.

She said, "You probably get that a lot."

I told her that I actually didn't and I thanked her. She made my day, because she is actually the first person to tell me that they liked my frames. I had someone once refer to me as the man in the horn rimmed glasses and tell me that they liked Heroes. When I told them that I liked it too and it was one of my favorite shows, they said, "You should like it. You're in it."

Yeah, but usually no one seems to notice, which is just fine with me because I don't wear them to be noticed. I just like the look and feel of the frames.
